Celebrations of Dahi Handi - Janmashtami at Rangaipura

Janmashtami is celebrated on Shravan Vad Aatham, that's Birthday of  Lord Shree Krishana. Raslila, Jhankis and Dahi Handi is the popular ceremony of the festival of Janmashtami. Celebrated with lot of enthusiasm and glee. Dahi Handi is an enactment of Lord Krishna's efforts to steal butter from Matka (earthen pot) suspended from the ceiling.

This year many cities has been banned for the celebrations of Dahi Handi In India due to swine flu, But If there is festival like  Janmashtami and devotees of Rangaipura cannot celebrates that's not possible. August 14th 2009, evening devotees of Rangaipura had Aarti on 7 pm at Rangaipura Temple (near Bhagor). The popular SitaRam Bhajan Mandal has performed well after the Aarti and played Bhajan till night 12 o'clock. Devotees of Rangaipura  Darshon the glorious look of Load Krishna and they were singing "Nand Gher Aanand Bharyo Jai Kanhaiya lal ki jai"

They have organized the celebration of Dahi Handi at center of the Bhagor of Rangaipura,  While youngster of Rangaipura were made human tower to break Dahi Handi (Matki)
