Bay area family attended Diwali Dinner and Party for 2011, there were almost 95% attendence all. The 14gamm family of Bay Area had a wonderful Diwali get-together October 15th, on the premises of Pravinbhai & Manjulaben (Bhavanipura) Patel's house & nursery in San Martin, CA.

All the kids were so focused on doing arts & crafts - the girls painted special Diwali jewelry boxes & the boys painted wooden sailboats & airplanes. There was face painting & nail color/art & of course, just playing with each other on the nursery grounds. So much fun that we ran out of time to do the Diwali Diya coloring contest. Meanwhile, the ladies laughed heartily hearing & watching jokes video from 20 years ago in San Martin by Pravinbhai's beloved friend, the late Bhupendrabhai Patel. They were amused in seeing friends & family (even themselves!) as they were 20 years ago. Everyone enjoyed the home-made, mouth-watering Diwali Nasta and delicious, home-cooked Diwali dinner, served on traditional steel thalis! And the kids took home a goodie bag, along with their painted art - and we all went home realizing another year has passed in our lives & looking forward to the blessings of Diwali and the upcoming New Year.
