The IITE is a Teachers' University initiated by the Govt. of Gujarat to create the teachers of tomorrow. By promoting new trends of synthesis of the East and West, it seeks to usher in a new era in teacher education. The uniqueness of this university lies in its ground-breaking Curriculum, which structures a Comprehensive and Integral Education Programme “ encouraging multiple intelligences by covering the Physical, Creative, Intellectual and Reflective dimensions of a person's development. This innovative curriculum was released by Shri Narendra Modi, Hon'ble Chief Minister, Gujarat, at a function in Gandhinagar on 30th June 2011.
